FitRadar is a site where you can post about people near your current location (or even yourself if you really want).
At the moment, the site first checks for you approximate location when you register. This can be changed in your account settings to a location of your choice.
An iOS app will soon be on it's way with plenty of great features to keep you interested in such as push notifications on new posts etc.
